Chaos in Nepal: Worse than Hiroshima bombing! (photos + videos)

The death toll has climbed to well over 3,000, with thousands injured

The death toll of those known to have died in the massive 7.8R-magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal on Saturday has climbed to at least 3,326 with more than 6,500 injured, according to the national Emergency Operation Center. Thousands spent the night outdoors in massive tent cities around Kathmandu.

Rescue missions are helping people deal with the situation as strong aftershocks continue in the worst earthquake to have hit the region in more than 80 years. Greek seismologist Efthymios Lekkas, from the Anti-Seismic Planning and Protection Organization (OASP), told private MEGA TV that it is worse than an “atomic bomb”, in fact 800 times stronger than the explosion felt during the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.
