Greek study in the UK: Active sex life translates to more pay!

Want a fat paycheck? Here’s one way to go about it…

Greek Dr. Nick Drydakis led a new study by the Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, UK, that found that an active sex life increased productivity at work as well as salary output. Dr. Drydakis studied 7,500 Greek adults, aged from 26 to 50 years of age, for the study and found that people who have sex two or three times a week earn 4.5% more than co-workers who do not. Sexually active health-impaired workers earned 1.5% more than healthy workers who did not have active sex lives.

Drydakis and his team state that there is a link between success at work and satisfaction at home. “Maslow’s Need Hierarchy Theory claims that the happier and more fulfilled individuals are in their lives, the more productive and successful they will be in their work, translating to higher wages,” said Dr. Drydakis. “The theory concludes that people need to love and be loved, sexually and non-sexually, by others. In the absence of these elements, people may become susceptible to loneliness, social anxiety and depression—all factors that can affect their working life.”

The study that is published in the International Journal of Manpower found that there was no difference between employees who partook in heterosexual or homosexual intercourse, finding that all that mattered was engagement.
