Christopher Walken is the first tap-dancing Captain Hook

“It’s wonderful after all this time, at this point in my career, to be in this classic musical I watched as a child” said the Oscar winner actor for participating in the live program “Peter Pan live” which will be broadcast by NBC TV network

The Oscar winner actor Christopher Walken will play Captain Hook in the new live program “Peter Pan live” which will be broadcast by NBC TV network. “I’m happy to announce today that Captain Hook will be played by Christopher Walken,” stated Greenblatt, the president of NBC. “He’s fearless as a comedic actor and always comes to play. I guarantee you he will bring his own spin to Captain Hook, and it might be the first tap-dancing Captain Hook you’ve ever seen.”

Despite the fact that more roles of Walken are dramatic, this did not prevent him from accepting one of the happiest roles of his career. “I started my career in musicals, and it’s wonderful after all this time, at this point in my career, to be in this classic musical I watched as a child and to work with Neil Meron and Craig Zadan again after ‘Hairspray.’ It’s a chance to put on my tap shoes again.” said Walken for his new role.

Walken won the Oscar in Best Actor in a Supporting Role for “The Deer Hunter” and got nomination for Oscar in Best Actor in a Supporting Role for “Catch Me If You Can”.
