A total of 27 agroforestry fires occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, according to the Fire Service.

According to the Fire Service, of the total of 27 fires, 24 were immediately dealt with at their initial stage, while firefighters are still dealing with three more.

The local investigative bureaus and teams of the Arson Investigation Department (IAD) are investigating the causes of the fires.

The Fire Service urges “all citizens to be particularly careful and, in the event of a fire, for their own safety, to follow the instructions of the competent authorities”.
