Covid-19 Greece – Fourth vaccine in September, says Pagoni

The administration for the general public should start in September

The president of the Athens-Piraeus hospital doctors, Matina Pagoni, assessed that a fourth dose of the coronavirus vaccine will be given to the general population speaking to SKAI TV on Monday morning.

“The fourth installment has already started abroad. There is the Vaccination Committee that recommends the fourth dose to specific groups because at the moment in the hospitals we mainly have elderly with underlying diseases. Most of them are 70%-75% unvaccinated, but there are also those who have been vaccinated with two and three doses with many underlying diseases”, she pointed out.

For the rest of the population, she recommended that the National Vaccination Committee should decide in time what will happen before September before schools start and traffic increases.

“I estimate that the administration of the fourth installment for everyone will begin in early September,” she stressed.
