Democratic Left party on negotiations with the troika

DIMAR stressed the need for “a new agreement with the lenders to disengage the economy from the vicious circle of recession”.

“In the context of the new negotiations with the troika, the government should make absolutely clear that the country cannot tolerate any new measures that would further reduce incomes or degrade the already weakened labor market,” the Democratic Left (DIMAR) party said in a statement on Tuesday.

DIMAR also stressed the need for “a new agreement with the lenders to disengage the economy from the vicious circle of recession”.

The Democratic Left party accused the government of using the meeting with the representatives of the country’s international lenders in Paris for communicative reasons. However, “this cannot overshadow the need to replace the economic policy mix being followed” DIMAR underlined.
