Novak Djokovic has advanced to the semifinals of the 2023 Roland Garros.
The holder of 22 Grand Slam titles eliminated Russian Karen Khachanov (4-6, 7-6, 6-2, 6*4) in 3.38′ and will play on Friday for a place in the final with either Stefanos Tsitsipas or Carlos Alcaraz.
This is Nole’s 12th semi-final in Paris, where he has two titles (2016, 2021).
Novak Djokovic lost the 1st set relatively easily to the Russian without even having a breakpoint. But he came back and after the middle of the 2nd set improved his performance going on to wrap up the match in 3.38.
The Serb had 4/8 breakpoints and the Russian had 2/10. The winners were 57-31 for Djokovic while the unforced errors were 44-42 for the Russian.
