On the occasion of Greek Independence Day, a national holiday celebrated by Greeks to commemorate the end to nearly 400 years of Ottoman rule, the military parade held in the center of Greece’s capital, Athens, concluded.
The parade was attended by many politicians, including President of Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos, President of Parliament Nikos Voutsis, Minister of Defense Panos Kammenos, leader of the main opposition New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis, president of Union of Centrists Vassilis Leventis, and many party representatives.
