Earthquake 3,7 Richter off Crete

The epicentre was located 50 kilometres north of Heraklion, where two tremors of 4.2 and 4 on the Richter scale occurred yesterday

Crete continues to “shake” with a new earthquake, this time 3.7 Richter, worrying the residents of Heraklion.

The tremor occurred shortly after 1 am on Tuesday with the epicentre located 50 kilometres north of Heraklion.

The focal depth was estimated at 16 kilometers, according to the Geodynamic Institute.

Since yesterday, several tremors have been recorded at this point with the strongest yesterday morning being a 4.2 Richter and earlier another 4 Richter.
