The three countries, according to an Egyptian website, have held a meeting to settle the details of the joint proposal

Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Greece will submit a joint bid to host the 2030 World Cup, according to the website cairo24.com.

The report says that a tripartite meeting was held to determine the final arrangements for the bid to host the event, as the three countries agreed to submit a joint bid for the world’s premier football event at national team level.

In fact, the relevant publication states that Egypt’s Minister of Sports and Youth, Ashraf Sobhi, expressed the intention to build a large stadium in El Alamein, in order to add to the country’s stadiums that are capable of “hosting” matches of the event.

If the specific information is correct, Greece could host World Cup matches in several stadiums, since, apart from the “OPAP Arena” in New Philadelphia, by 2030 it is expected that those of Panathinaikos and PAOK will be completed, while there are also the OAKA and “Georgios Karaiskakis” always available.
