Eurogroup to discuss Greek economic recovery on Sep. 12

They will also discuss ways to strengthen economic growth and create new jobs

Eurozone finance ministers (Eurogroup) will discuss the progress made regarding Greece and Cyprus’ economic recovery when they meet on September 12 in Luxembourg, said a source at the secretariat.

“The ministers will discuss the current economic situation [in the eurozone] and ways to strengthen economic growth and create new jobs. They will also be updated for the current economic adjustment programs in Greece and Cyprus,” the source said to RIA Novosti news agency.

Last week, the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) released the first tranche – about 30 billion euros – of a 86 billion euro loan to Greece as it was agreed by the Eurogroup on August 14.
