Euroworking Group to discuss on IMF’s return in Athens

The Institutions are expected to put great pressure to IMF so as to convince it to return to Athens

The Euroworking Group will meet on Monday with the participation of the heads of the institutions to discuss the date of their return to Athens and the review of the economic program.

The Institutions are expected to put great pressure to IMF so as to convince it to return to Athens, while the Greek government hopes that IMF will finally decide to return and start again the negotiation talks so as to complete the first program review.

Greek government sources confirmed there is convergence between the Greek side and EU officials on the crucial issues of the negotiation such as the pension reforms and the fiscal gap while the IMF differentiates its stance regarding the measures to be taken until 2018 and the fiscal figures.
