French President F. Hollande pledges to do “everything” for hostage

The French president made his statement while negotiations are taking place between the gunmen and negotiators

French President Francois Hollande made a live statement from Paris while the police were involved in a hostage situation with the Charlie Hebdo suspects, Said and Cherif Kouachi, in Dammartin-en-Goele, northeast of Paris. Mr. Hollande, speaking at the Place Beauvau crisis center where he is overseeing the operations taking place, said:

“It is a test when a magazine is attacked because it is a symbol of freedom. We decided to enter into a coalition in Iraq to fight against terrorism
Everything is being done for our fellow citizen.”

Speaking to negotiators, the brothers said that they want to “die as martyrs”
