George H.W. Bush fractures neck after fall at home

The former president is in a stable condition

Former President George H.W. Bush, aged 91, has broken a bone in his neck after a fall at his home. He is in a stable condition at the Maine Medical Center.

His spokesman, Jim McGrath, said on Twitter:

“41 fell at home in Maine today and broke a bone in his neck. His condition is stable – he is fine – but he’ll be in a neck brace.”

The best remembered of the two Bush POTUS is the oldest living US president and served one term as the country’s 41st commander-in-chief between 1988 and 1992, after succeeding Ronald Reagan.
