TUI, the greatest tour operator of Germany, is getting ready for a change of currency in Greece, according to German newspaper Die Welt. The tour provider told its clients that a Grexit would not only cause problems but make things cheaper. A TUI representative said that contracts are structured in a way so that all hoteliers who collaborate with TUI need to pay in euros.
In 2011, TUI had again made news with newspapers such as the Bild reporting on the circulation of a letter and contract from tourism giant TUI to Greek hoteliers, reserving the right to ask for payments in the new currency should Greece be kicked out the euro and return right back to the drachma.
