Greek and Turkish F16 jets engage in 7 dogfights after Turkey violated Greek airspace 24 times

There were also 16 infringements of the Athens FIR

Turkey continued its provocations against Greece over the Aegean Sea, as the Turkish airforce violated Greek airspace on 24 occasions. The violations were carried out by F-16 fighters flying in 12 formations.

A  CN-235 reconnaissance aircraft flew over the Aegean, while a total of 26 aircraft violated the National Airspace.

19 of the planes were armed while, the Greek aircraft engaged in seven dogfights with Turkish fighters. There were also 16 infringements of the Athens FIR.

The aircraft were identified and intercepted in accordance with international rules, as is standard practice.
