Greek FinMin stars in student’s documentary about Bitcoin (video)

On April Fool’s Day, Greek FinMin Yanis Varoufakis said that Greece would be adopting the Bitcoin, here he is in a documentary stating his views on the use of this pseudocurrency

Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis seems to have found time from his busy schedule to star in a student’s short documentary about Bitcoin. Kostas Mouratidis, a journalist student, created the film, titled “Bitcoin and the Digital Economy.”

In the film (at around 00:45) Varoufakis pounces in talking about the benefits of Bitcoin. “There is no need to pay commission, there is no need to pay debt to any banker,” he says. “Bitcoin’s organization became so that those who use it participate in a community where jointly they follow every Bitcoin’s move. In other words, it’s like all of us who participate in Bitcoin to be members of the central bank of Bitcoin.”
