Within the framework of his participation in Ministerial Week of the 70th UN General Assembly, in New York City, Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will have a working breakfast today, Tuesday, 29 September, with the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).
Mr. Kotzias will then have bilateral meetings with the Foreign Minister of Iran, Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif; the Norwegian Minister competent for EU and European Economic Space Issues, Vidar Helgesen; and the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov.
Mr. Kotzias will also participate in a Ministerial Meeting on the crisis in Syria, entitled “Re-thinking the International Response to the Crisis, providing hope for a better future,” and he will then have bilateral meetings with the Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, Iyad Ameen Madani, and with Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil.
Later in the afternoon a trilateral meeting will take place between Foreign Minister Kotzias and his counterparts from the Republic of Cyprus, Ioannis Kasoulides, and Egypt, Sameh Shoukry.
Finally, Mr. Kotzias will meet with representatives of the Greek American Community.
