The President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou expressed her condolences in a statement for the death of Fofi Gennimata who passed away at noon on Monday, at the age of 56.

Her statement:

“We say goodbye to Fofi Gennimata with deep feelings of emotion. A brave woman who gave all the battles of her life with dignity, the smallest and the biggest, without ever losing her bright smile.

She consistently served public life with political principles and her values. With the kindness of soul that we will all miss.

Warm condolences to her family, to her own people. Their pain during these difficult hours is also ours.”
