Under the slogan “no to digital electronic slavery, no to personal identification”, protesters against the new identities are holding a rally at Syntagma Square in Athens.

The demonstrators believe that the new police ID cards have a “chip”, to monitor citizens and the hacking of… “666”, among other things.

The rally was organized with online calls from people who refused to receive the new ID card and called it “electronic slavery”.

The rally in Syntagma Square is attended by monks and people holding crosses, icons of the Virgin Mary, religious “banners”, and flags of Orthodoxy and Greece.
