Hidden in plain sight: 5 simple ways to end the Greek crisis

Forget ELA, bailouts, haircuts and political dithering… let’s just impose the rules and scratch each other’s backs to end the crisis

Everybody agrees that Greece is in a pickle. Political dithering doesn’t seem to help, perhaps its time to think outside the box, do some tidying and grab solutions that are hidden in plain sight:

* Every time someone in Greece double parks, speeds or talks on the mobile while driving they should be fined. End of crisis (and less road rage too!)

* Money at toll gates should be gathered and saved to pay off debt – because they’re definitely not using it to maintain roads! End of crisis.

* Some countries (e.g. Switzerland) are trying hard to devalue their currency, with little success. Why can’t the Swiss just buy the Greek debt to achieve that goal? Greeks and Swiss would be happy – end of crisis!

* Every time someone sticks ‘Gr’ at the front of a word in no need of it, they should have to give a €1 fine to Greece. End of crisis.

* Londoner Thom Feeney may have hit on an idea when he tried crowdfunding to help Greece get sorted. In just a week he managed to raise 1,930,366 euros… Add another three zeroes and Greece may be well on its way to end the crisis. CLICK HERE to donate!
