Hilarious relationship-comedy ‘Ring’ on Ilisia Volonakis’ theatre stage till May 7

Two actors play 18 characters between them

The highly acclaimed play comedy ‘Ring’ by French playwright Leonore Confino will be staged at the ‘Ilisia Volanakis’ theatre until May 7, with actor Thanasis Tslaltabasis (also directing) and actress Marina Kalogirou offering laughs galore to the theatre lovers who enjoy the entanglements of male-female relationships. The two actors will perform 18 different characters between them in a ring shaped arena. Every scene is a new round that explores relationships between men and women: Parents, lovers, strangers, husbands and wives, divorced, widowed, all struggle with their instincts, their ideals, their childish impulses. The play is fast-paced, nervously oscillating between laughter and drama: sparks light fires, misunderstandings lead to war, despite everyone’s phenomenal efforts to coexist with the other gender. Leonore Confino was nominated for a Moliere award in 2014 for the play.
