First Minister of Scotland, Alex Salmond, fell prey to the voracious social media, after his failed attempt to demonstrate his football skills!
The unfortunate First Minister visited the youth football initiative in Rutherglen to announce an extra £600,000 funding for the program. Wanting to get into the spirit, Mr. Salmond took a shot from the penalty spot and ended up getting caught in some rather awkward positions by the photographers.
The image was an instant hit on social media websites and before long was being merged with other photos and going viral.
Among the spoofs of Alex Salmond are one in which he appears alongside Michael Flatley in Riverdance, another with ‘twerking’ singer Miley Cyrus and one with Cleese playing crazed hotelier Basil Fawlty.
