Invasion of Ukraine: “Monstrous provocations of Ukrainian saboteurs in Zaporozhye”, says the Russian embassy in Athens

“The purpose of Kiev regime’s provocation into a nuclear installation is an attempt to accuse Russia of creating a source of radioactive contamination”

The Russian embassy in Greece repeated the announcement of the Russian Ministry of Defense about the fire in the nuclear plant of Zaporozhye.

It states that “at night the nationalist regime in Kiev attempted a monstrous provocation next to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, which is under the control of Russian forces.

Around 02:00, a Russian patrol unit there was attacked by a Ukrainian saboteur group.

In order to provoke retaliatory fire, heavy fire was fired from the windows of the building outside the nuclear plant. The shooting points of the Ukrainian saboteurs in the building were suppressed. Leaving the building, the Ukrainian group set it on fire.

Firefighters extinguished the fire. The nuclear power plant is operating normally, the radioactivity levels are normal.

Zelensky’s immediate statements on the alleged threat to the nuclear power plant and his talks with Washington and London leave no doubt. The purpose of Kiev regime’s provocation into a nuclear installation is an attempt to accuse Russia of creating a source of radioactive contamination”.
