ISIS attacks Libyan hotel – One casualty

One of the security forces was killed during a firefight

Libya’s capital, Tripoli, witnessed a jihadist attack on the five-star “Corinthia” hotel. Unknown perpetrators set off a bomb in the parking lot of the hotel and then exchanged shots with security personnel. So far, information states that one member of the hotel’s security forces, was killed.

 

Information coming to light revealed that ISIS assumes responsibility for the attack, characterizing them as payback. The reason? An al-Qaeda leader which was caught by US Special Forces, died in hospital earlier this month..

 

The Maltese-owned Tripoli hotel had a chance to evacuate all personnel and information states that the terrorists are now trapped in the building. Two Twitter accounts are under investigation, which announced ISIS’ involvement.
