Joint Greek-Egyptian Air Force exercise reaffirms strong ties (photos)

The exercise took place in the Cairo FIR

Greek and Egypt participated in a joint Air Force exercise in the wider area of the Cairo FIR, reaffirming the high level of Greek-Egyptian relations which has caused a “headache” in Turkey.

The Bilateral Air Force Exercise is part of the wider planning of the Greek Air Force regarding the international collaborations of the Armed Forces to strengthen the synergy and enhance military cooperation of the participating countries, as well as in the Military Cooperation Program of Greece and Egypt for 2022 and aimed at training the personnel in composite Air Operations (Composite Air Operations – COMAO).

The exercise took place immediately after the conclusion of the bilateral cross-branch exercise of Greece and Egypt “MEDUSA 12” with the participation of four F-16/B50 fighters of the Air Force and F-16/B52, F16/B40, MIG-29, and Rafale aircraft of the Egyptian Air Force aviation.
