European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker warned Turkey that talks on its accession to the EU would be stopped immediately if it reinstated the death penalty. He made it clear that Turkey was not in a position to become a member of the EU any time soon. On the issue of Britain’s exit from the EU, Junkcer stressed that there was no deadline on the Brexit talks, while he added that Britain could use the EU internal market only of it abided by European regulations.
