Katrougalos does not rule out possible obstacles in negotiations on social security reform

He stated that he will request the intervention of the European Parliament if creditors refuse to accept the Greek proposal

Labour Minister Giorgos Katrougalos talking to private SKAI TV stated that he does not rule out the possibility that Greek government might face obstacles in the negotiation with Greece’s creditors on social security reform.

He talked about a plan B, a new proposal, while he stressed that he will request the intervention of the European Parliament if creditors refuse to accept the Greek proposal.

Mr. Katrougalos stated that the government will not accept a further reduction in national pension, which will be at 384 euros, adding that raising the 15-year limit for getting a pension is also out of question.

He also stated that there would be a tough negotiation, but Europeans know that this government does not mock them.
