Minister Mouzalas to participate in Transatlantic Council on Migration

The meeting will take place on Jan. 17-19 in Berlin and will be attended by politicians, heads of organizations and researches from around the world

The challenges, problems and opportunities created by the refugee crisis will be the focus of the 15th meeting of the Transatlantic Council on Migration which will take place on Jan. 17-19 in Berlin with the participation of politicians, heads of organizations and researches from around the world.

The meeting is titled “Development, Mobility, Protection: Building Opportunity into Refugee Solutions” and will be attended, among others, by EU migrations commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos, German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Chief of Staff and refugee coordinator, Peter Altmaier, Greek Alternate Minister for Migration Policy Yiannis Mouzalas, U.S. Assistant secretary of state for population, refugees and migration, Anne Richard, United Nations’ Migration and Development expert, Sarah Rosengaertner and numerous officials from Sweden, Norway, Canada, Turkey, the Netherlands and Morocco.
