A new era in emotional satisfaction has kicked off in Japan and may catch on. Handsome chaps provide their services for hire in a brand new Japanese website known as Ikemeso (Ikemen means ‘hot guy’ and mesomeso means ‘crying’). Women pick a paid suitor who not only makes them sob, but also stays around to wipe away the tears… as therapy!

The odd idea is really catching on as more and more Japanese women turn to “tear seeking” for stress relief. The lucrative business has a range of men available for women to choose from in order to have a different crying experience. There’s the dentist, bad boy, intellectual, arty type etc.

The men arrive to help women relieve themselves from stress. Together, the man and his client may watch sad videos to get the tear ducts flowing and when it is over, he wil romantically place his hand on the wall behind you (this move is known as kabe-don, and it is apparently seductive), and then he will touch the lady’s cheek and console her.

Due to the prohibiting price range, the men are mainly hired by corporations and are offered to female employees… and this in itself gives an idea of how Japanese women are treated in the office in order to need this kind of service.
