Lavrov: Ukraine on the verge of civil war

He asked for a solution that will satisfy everyone

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov estimated that the Ukraine is on the verge of civil war, and requested a solution that will satisfy everyone.

At the same time, he made it clear that Russia has no intention to send troops anywhere, adding that it is “ridiculous” that someone would blame Russia for the presidential elections of May 25th, and hastened to add that the vote cannot be legitimate if it is enforced through arms.
He also sent a clear message that any integration of the Ukraine into NATO “will be a hot topic for Russia”, adding that such a move would hurt European security.
