The Reds’ defence was picked apart by the Villa forwards, with Ollie Watkins scoring three (4′,22′,39′), with Jack Grealish adding a couple (66′, 75′). The other two were scored by Ross Barkley (55′) and John McGinn (35′). Mo Salah scored Liverpool’s two goals (33′, 60′).
