Minister of Education Mr. Andreas Loverdos demanded the suspension of four educators (three of the primary and of the secondary education) that are under investigation for pedophile crimes.

Mr. Loverdos informed the Commission of Educational Affairs that once he becomes informed of the names of the accused he will suspend them at his own responsibility, despite what the decision of the official councils might be.

Among others, the Minister of education stressed the importance of the issue, while he stated that at issues like that, his decisions will always be “sharp”.
