The 2015 Travel Convention of the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) will be held in Messenia, a region in the southeastern part of Peloponnese, it was announced yesterday in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana at the end of a highly successful 2014 Convention.
Costa Navarino, a luxury coastal resort complex in the area will host the event which will run from 12-14 October. This will be first time that Greece has hosted the Convention since Kos in 2000.
ABTA Chairman Noel Josephides said: “I am delighted that the Region of Peloponnese has agreed to host the 2015 Travel Convention. Messenia is a beautiful and historic part of Greece and Costa Navarino’s facilities are second to none.”
Petros Tatoulis, Governor of the Region of Peloponnese said: “I am extremely satisfied and happy about ABTA’s decision to host next year’s event in the Peloponnese in the beautiful area of Messenia.
