Russia tested a new intercontinental ballistic missile earlier in the day, as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continues.

The Sarmat missile was launched from the Plesetsk space center in northern Russia and achieved all the objectives set by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

It is noted that the target was located on the Kamchatka Peninsula, several kilometers to the east.

For his part, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a statement that the test of the new ballistic missile should be “food for thought, for those who threaten Russia”.

It is noted that the Russian Ministry of Defense in a statement states that the Sarmat missile has expanded the range of combat equipment and has unique features that allow it to surpass any missile defense system.
