ND leads SYRIZA by 10% in latest poll

High prices is the most concerning matter for those polled

Ruling New Democracy (ND) leads major opposition party SYRIZA by 10 points, according to pollsters Marc for Ant-1 TV.

As the findings revealed ND gained half a point and records a percentage of 32.5%, SYRIZA gained 0.4 points and a percentage of 22.5%, while PASOK / KINAL appears with a drop of 0.4 points, to 12.8%. The Greek Communist Party (KKE) registers a marginal increase, while the other parties do not have significant fluctuations.

45.7% of the citizens evaluate the government positively and generally positively, while the corresponding positive evaluations for the official opposition reach 24.3%, ie marginally above the percentage of the voting intention.

Those polled said their greatest concern (85%+) was rising prices, while one in two is now worried about the Greek-Turkish relations. The pandemic, natural disasters and immigration are rising again, while the war in Ukraine and crime are receding.

Voters are divided about the timing of elections – with half preferring elections in the fall and the rest at the end of four years. However, after the latest moves by the government, two in three estimate that the elections will take place in the fall.

Nearly one in three wants an absolute majority New Democracy government, but one in five believe that will eventually happen. On the contrary, one in three believes that a ND-PASOK coalition government will emerge, although only one in ten would like that to happen.
