New bombing attacks in Iraq

At least 23 dead

At least 23 people died in Iraq today, after new bombing attacks which took place throughout the country, including an attack against the Federal Police HQ.

Specifically, a car bomb, followed by a suicide attack, killed 11 people in the police building in downtown Baghdad. The dead are comprised by six police officers and 5 bystanders, while the amount of wounded has reached 21.

North of Baghdad, a colonel and five of his men were killed, when a Humvee-driving suicide bomber hit his motorcade.

At the same time, a suicide bomber driving a rigged car, attacked a military checkpoint, 15 km south of Baghdad. Six men were killed and 20 were wounded, according to authorities.

It should be noted that ISIS jihadists captured military humvees and other vehicles with attacks in June.
