Passenger flow at Athens airport hits a new record in February

Domestic passenger traffic went up 26.6%, while international passenger traffic rose 12.8%

Passenger traffic in the Athens International Airport set a new records in February, reaching 1.07 million, up 18.2% compared with the same month last year.

Domestic passenger traffic went up 26.6%, while international passenger traffic rose 12.8%, with Greek passengers recording an increase of 17% and foreign passengers 21%.

In the first two months of the year, passenger traffic totaled 2.16 million, up 15% compared with the same period in 2014.

Domestic traffic went up 21.4% and international traffic increased by 10.8%. Greek and foreign travelers increased by 14% 16%, respectively.

The number of flights in the airport totaled 22,316 in the January-February period, up 9.3% compared with the same period last year. Domestic flights went up 11.9% and international flights recorded an increase of 7.3%.
