Message from Nicosia to Ankara: without progress on the Cyprus issue, the path to the EU will not open for Turkey

Progress in EU-Turkey relations remains directly tied to progress on the Cyprus issue - that is the message Nicosia has sent to Ankara, after last night's dinner between European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President António Costa, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
