“The European Union has no jurisdiction to interfere with the measures proposed for 2016 budget,” said Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi to Italian radio station Radio 24.
Referring to the same issue, the Italian Prime Minister added: “Brussels is not the teacher who examines the student, does not have jurisdiction to intervene with economic policy issues of a country. During these years there was psychological subordination of Italy to the Eurocrats. Europe should give advises to us, but each year we give to Europe nine billion euros net and it cannot tell us which law should be repealed. If Brussels reject our budget for 2016, we will resend it as it is”.
According to Mr. Renzi the package of measures would make Italy a simpler and fairer country adding that the taxes will be decreased.
