Santorini hotel owner installs plexiglass sun-bed protectors due to Covid-19

The few tourists who are expected to travel will be separated from other beach goers

The tourism sector in Greece might have suffered the serious effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, but owners of tourism-related services are taking all the necessary precautionary and safety measures.

Beach bars are installing special plexiglass protectors, while using disposable towels and antiseptics.

One such case was the owner of the luxury unit “Suites of Gods”, Charlie Chahine “, who placed a protective plexiglass around the sun-beds on the beach of Perissa, in Santorini, which is considered ideal especially for families with children.

This particular construction covers the two sides, which is four meters away from the next one. In addition, disposable towels and antiseptic wipes are available for beach goers.

The owner thought that given the reduced holiday packages due to the pandemic, any tourists who manage to travel this summer, both foreigners and Greeks would want to take enjoy the beach in a protected environment, without worrying about possible transmission of the virus.
