Kassinis has a degree in Chemical Engineering and in Business Studies as well as a diploma in Marketing.

For more than 35 years, Kassinis has been active in the oil and natural gas industry.

He has also contributed to the negotiations on the agreements defining the Exclusive Economic Zone of Cyprus (EEZ) with neighbouring countries.

He held positions in the Commerce, Industry and Tourism Ministry of Cyprus and specialized in the development of hydrocarbon exploration activities in the EEZ of Cyprus.
