The UK government has updated its travel advice to UK travelers following a terrorist-related incident in the Spanish city of Algeciras.
The Foreign Office has alerted Brits heading to Spain that “terrorists are likely to try to carry out attacks” following an incident on January 25.
In its latest guidance, it informed travelers: “On 25 January 2023, there was a terrorist-related incident where a man carrying a machete attacked two churches in the southern Spanish city of Algeciras, in Cadiz, resulting in injuries and the loss of one life..”

According to local media, one person died and several people were injured after a suspect, who has been arrested, attacked churchgoers with wielded a machete or a samurai sword.
