A young girl, aged 5, was kicked out of Christian school after school officials found out that she had two mothers. The little girl attended Mt. Erie Christian Academy in San Diego.

One of her mother’s, Sheena, told KGTV: “I didn’t finish the conversation with them when they took us in the room because I just, I didn’t want to look at them any longer. It was heartbreaking.”

The school said that it had the right to kick out the girl for any reason it chose due to the First Amendment that refers to religious belief. The child’s parents plan to file a lawsuit against the school.
