The information of the death of Al Baghdadi has not been corroborated by western sources so far. US network USA Today said the US-led International coalition could not confirm the death of Al Baghdadi, while an anonymous source in the US Pentagon told British Daily Mail that he was unaware whether important targets had been hit.

Syria’s local TV stations  report that Islamic State leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi has been killed in an air raid in Syria by the US-led coalition.

The pro-government Sama TV and al-Ekhbariya cited sources affiliated with the IS and claimed that Al-Baghdadi has been killed without providing any more information.

IS-affiliated Arabic news agency al-Amaq also reported the death of Baghdadi.
