Mr. Socrates Hasikos, made the above statement for the Syrian immigrants that were rescued last week in Paphos and since then have been staying in Cyprus, while added that they are free to do whatever they want, as long as if they decide not to leave Cyprus within the following three months, then they must apply for a permit.
Syrian immigrants free to leave Cyprus at their own discretion
According to the Cypriot Minister of Internal Affairs: “They are free , they are by no means constrained of confined, we have given them back all of their documents, ID’s and passports and they are free to do whatever they wish at their own discretion”
