Students and teachers held a new university rally in the centre of Athens to protest against the bill on the establishment of non-state universities.

The march started shortly before 14.00 and an hour later reached Syntagma. It ended without any incidents after 16.00.

Earlier, due to the rally, traffic police stopped traffic on Panepistimiou, Stadiou and surrounding streets.

It is noted that for the sixth consecutive week, one-third of schools nationwide remain under occupation with the assessment being that the occupations will continue until the law is passed.
