New data has revealed just how many unidentified flying object (UFO) reports were made to Lancashire Constabulary in 2021.
A Freedom of Information request sent by a WhatDoTheyKnow.com user revealed that seven calls relating to UFO, alien and unidentified aerial phenomena were reported to the police constabulary between 1 January 2021 to the 5 December 2021.
One of these was put down as a hoax while others not actually related to actual sightings.
The earliest report came in April at around 8pm. A man in an unknown Lancashire area said he had a UFO in his kitchen.
The operator thought there was someone in the background who they were possibly arguing with.

Another report came from Blackpool in July where the caller claimed to see a UFO – but police noted that this could have been a hoax call.
However, not everyone reports UFO sightings to the police; others take to online forums and websites.

According to the map, more than seven UFO and alien sightings were reported in Lancashire last year.
