Elsa Harris, aged 45, peeled a banana at home and decided to eat it while struck in a traffic jam. Waiting in traffic she took her hands off the wheel to move the last bit of skin when she was swiftly pulled over by the police.

The police officer slapped her with a 100-pound fine and told her that eating while driving rendered her a menace. Eating while driving is not an offence per se unless the person fails to operate the vehicle due to the food.
