Thessaloniki: 38-year-old woman arrested for trafficking and trafficking of cannabis

A total of 33 people were checked, one arrest was made and a 38-year-old woman was arrested

A targeted operational action was carried out by police officers of the Direct Intervention Department of the Sub-Directorate of Narcotics of the Security Directorate of Thessaloniki, yesterday (23-05-2024), in the areas of Dendropotamos and Evosmos, in order to combat drug trafficking and trafficking, delinquency, but also to establish a sense of security among citizens.

In this operation, police officers of the Department of Crime Prevention and Suppression (CPC) of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate, the Police Intervention Teams of the Directorate of Direct Action, the Joint Police Control Team of the Thessaloniki Traffic Police Directorate, the Ampelokipoi-Menemeni Security Department, as well as a police dog of the Special Police Forces Sub-Directorate of Northern Greece participated in the operation.

A total of 33 people were checked, one arrest was made and a 38-year-old woman was arrested, as a search of her home resulted in the seizure of the drugs:

(3) small bundles of raw cannabis weighing a total of (62.56) grams,
(1) cannabis grinder; and
A sum of money derived from drug trafficking.
The arrested person will be taken to the competent Public Prosecutor, while police actions will continue in other areas.
